Meet Emma Dilemma.
This indearing moniker was handed to her from a babysitter at a very young age, and has stuck with her into adulthood.
I had the pleasure of working with Emma at our local art Gallery, the MacLaren Art Centre, where she was in charge of the Sunday Family Workshops; a free drop in art class for children and families from the Barrie community. With her trusty son/sidekick Phoenix by her side, (probably the cutest, wittiest 11 year old you’ll ever meet) she taught everything from printmaking to painting every Sunday afternoon.
After relocating her family to New Brunswick over a year ago, Emma has rediscovered her long lost love for beading. Employing her keen eye for colour and design gained while attaining two fine art diplomas, she has created a successful online business for herself. Her store DarlingDilemma has opened up an avenue for her to share her beautiful creations with the world.
Her beaded necklaces and earrings are positively stunning, and are accompanied by whimsical descriptions that really give a backdrop for the inspiration behind each piece. Emma creates unique pieces for each season, it is easy to find something new from DarlingDilemma to add to your seasonal wardrobe.
With over 30 sales in her store and counting, Emma also takes customs orders, and has found that since opening that avenue for her customers, the orders have more than doubled. Check out her blog here, and enter her contest for a chance to win a DarlingDilemma creation.
